Hamirpur is the district of Himachal Pradesh located in the south western part of the Himalaya. It is situated at lower altitude and relatively warmer but has some mountainous ranges covered with Pine forests. This district was figure out in 1972 by carving it out from the Kangra district.
Hamirpur is considered as the most Literate district in Himachal Pradesh. The majority of its population fluently speaks Hindi. It is well associated by roads from all sides and thus can be promoted as a tourist destination.
